It comes from a great passion that I have always had for perfumes . It is an emotional and powerful state, a mnemonic unhinging of life memories. Magno Gaudio is "my" great joy. Emotion that becomes a life story, from the birth of an idea to the creation of a fragrance. From the pathos of a clear concept that becomes shape, I translate and select the raw materials - the weight - so that from these ingredients we arrive at a physical product that is actually intangible and ethereal. An awakening of memory, which must be transformed into the happiness of others. Here, this is the most precious thing I can transfer.
I have lived many years as an event organizer, PR and owner of a communication agency. I then decide to stop to get moving on my bike, to tour Italy and most of Europe, experiencing different emotional and olfactory states with the succession of landscapes and seasons.
In this time my sense of smell is refined in a marked and powerful way and the desire and the joy of letting others wear my own great olfactory emotions is born in me. Stories that become a collection of personal and ambient perfumes and a constantly open perfume yard.
I started my journey in the simplest way: by buying natural and synthetic bases, with a self-taught approach. My olfactory has grown more and more, also fueled by the exchange of vision with some perfumers that has opened me to new horizons in the formulation of chords and sub chords. It was then the course in formulation of fragrances at the University of Chemistry of Florence that led me to broaden my knowledge of the world of molecules, at the base of all odorous compositions.
Seven long years to obtain a number of compositions from which I then extrapolated my two collections. Then there are creations not yet completed, as part of a path on which I often return, to revise, correct and reformulate.
A very important chapter opens on the artistic approach, where the literature on the perfumer / artist is decidedly vast. Opinions, philosophy and ideas about it are among the most disparate. First of all, I consider myself a craftsman : a perfumer cannot ignore an artisan methodology, in fact, without which sitting at the organ is at the limit of the impossible. The approach is methodological and mathematical. This acquired data allows me to think about a perfume , to intuit its characteristics. Perfumery is a secondary art, like music. We write scores, formulas that can then be replicated with the same raw materials, but are still obligatory paths.
